Our Curriculum focuses on all-round development of your child’s abilities. You will see several changes not just in what your child is learning, but also in how he/she is working in School.
Beginning with the Pre-School, St. Anthony’s School has revolutionized early childhood education with a new approach to teaching and learning. Our child focused curriculum uses a carefully designed process i.e. the “Active Participatory Learning” and linking learning concepts to art dance music to achieve powerful and positive outcomes.
The curriculum not only helps young children excel in language and cognitive learning but also promotes independence, curiosity decision making, cooperation, persistence, creativity and the development of fundamental skills ( communication skills, thinking skills social skills and sound values) that help determine success in adult life. St. Anthony’s School utilizes a multi- sensory approach (auditory, visual, tactile and kinaesthetic) to teaching. With this approach, our teachers focus on facilitating the learning process.
Our focus in St. Anthony’s, is to make your child an independent, confident learner therefore more attention is given to free thinking, understanding and writing. Children are encouraged and well guided at every step to think and write at a progressive pace. Writing is also a more difficult skill, and therefore, you will find less emphasis on the quantity of writing in notebooks. Hands on activities are combined with text books and worksheets and a wide variety of stimulating ideas and opportunities to stimulate children’s thinking and to extend their learning.
